The “My Boo” singer announced he will be going on tour in North America starting in August. This comes after his performance at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show and the end of his Las Vegas residency. The USHER: Past Present Future tour is partnered with Live Nation. It will feature music throughout the R&B star’s 30-year career. Get ready to hear hits from his first album, 1994’s Usher, to new singles from his ninth studio album recently released Feb. 9. The tour is set to start on Aug. 20 at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. Usher will hit major cities like Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Toronto, and more. The tour will wrap in Chicago at the United Center on Oct. 29.
Fans who are Citi card members or Verizon customers will have the chance at first dibs on tickets on Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. local time until Feb. 11 at 10 p.m. Customers can access the sale through either the Citi Entertainment program or Verizon website. General sale will begin on Monday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com. Usher’s tour will offer VIP packages, Meet & Greet, and photo opportunities with the icon himself for purchase. Usher revealed on Good Morning America, he is highlighting those who have inspired him during his tour. “I didn’t start where I am now, and I didn’t get there by myself,” he said. “So, everybody that has been a part of it, I’m carrying them with me. All of my fans, my loved ones, the people who may have felt like they have been forgotten, they haven’t. I’m carrying you right with me when I walk on that stage that night.” Usher Super Bowl LVIII halftime performance was a memorable one. He sang all of his classics and bought out some friends with him to perform alongside him. Some features included “Alicia Keys, Lil Jon, Ludacris, will.i.am, and others. “It’s the honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list,” Usher said in a statement.
