Approximately 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Traditional treatments like radical prostatectomy or radiation can carry significant complications affecting quality of life.The Transurethral Ultrasound Ablation (TULSA) Procedure is an incision-free procedure that uses directional ultrasound to produce very high temperatures to ablate (destroy) targeted prostate tissue while preserving healthy tissue. The incision-free procedure is performed in a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) suite and uses the TULSA-PRO® system to ablate prostate tissue from the ‘inside-out’. The Tulsa-Pro system allows for individualized treatment, shared decision making, and an option that can better preserve urinary control and sexual function.
