Today on The Balancing Act , we meet with Stephanie White, a parent whose daughter was once an acquaintance of accused Stoneman Douglas school shooter Nikolas Cruz. In fact, Stephanie even drove Cruz to school a few times in middle school. Other parents and students affected by the horrific massacre are just beginning to grapple with the aftermath. Most of us have trouble wrapping our heads around such a senseless and shocking act of violence. As Stoneman Douglas students head back to school , Stephanie gives her thoughts on what parents should do to help prevent tragedies like the one that unfolded in Parkland, Florida, on February 14, 2018.
