Queen Bee decided to drop two surprise tracks during the game, but not your typical Beyonce songs. While the pop icon wears a cowboy hat on the cover of her 2022 album Renaissance, many fans speculated if she would commit to country-inspired music in the future. To add fuel to the speculation, Beyonce rocked a cowboy hat the 2024 Grammy Awards last week. Well, the BeyHive’s theory was right. Beyonce shared a teaser on social media after her Verizon Super Bowl commercial aired live during the game.
The commercial teased a list of Beyonce’s ‘firsts’ intending to break the internet. Some of the moments included Beyonce in Space, a soul album under the name ‘yonceB’, and her own version of Barbie. The spot ended with the musician tease for new music and a ‘surprise drop’ as the commercial ended.Renaissance: Act II is going to release nearly a year and a half after Renaissance arrived in Summer 2022. Beyonce wrapped her acclaimed Renaissance World Tour that grossed over $579 million, making it the seventh highest-grossing tour of all time.The pop star was seen at the Super Bowl LVIII with her husband JAY-Z, 54, and their daughters Blue Ivy, 12, and Rumi, 6. Other celebrities in attendance at the big game included Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Ice Spice, Lana Del Ray, Paul McCartney, Travis Scott, Justin Bieber, Bad Bunny, Blake Lively, Blake Shelton, and more.
The Super Bowl was the second public appearance by the Carter family. Beyonce, JAY-Z, and Blue Ivy attended the 2024 Grammy Awards together on Feb. 4. JAY-Z was honored with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. The rapper used the platform to speak on his wife’s lack of album of the year wins, yet having the most Grammy wins of all time. "So even by your own metrics, that doesn't work. Think about that. The most Grammys never won album of the year. That doesn't work,” he said on stage.
