Lifelong Learning Can Be Yours

Even in the midst of a busy lifestyle, there are ways to go back to school to complete a degree

Even in the midst of a busy lifestyle, there are ways to go back to school to complete a degree.

Troy University, with its main campus in Troy, Alabama, has a long history of helping people complete or continue their education. Not only a bricks-and-mortar public institution of higher learning, TROY offers a wide variety of online degree programs, at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level.

Degrees in high-demand fields include computer science, tourism management, nursing, criminal justice and many more. In fact, the University offers more than 100 undergraduate and nearly 100 graduate degree programs. More than 40 undergraduate programs and 38 graduate degree programs are available through eTROY.

The University’s distance learning is rooted in its service to the military, and a relation spanning a half century, beginning with satellite classes being offered at the U.S. Army’s Fort Rucker in southern Alabama. That pioneering spirit led to the modern-day expansion into online education. A leading public institution in the field, TROY serves military and civilian adult learners, as well as more traditional-age students in its online environment.

In addition to its online offerings, programs are supported in seven U.S. states and four international locations, and on TROY’s four campuses in Alabama.

TROY understands the difficulties in balancing work, home life and education. By offering both in-classroom and online courses, students can arrange a schedule that fits with their particular circumstances.

TROY’s approach to helping students achieve success has been recognized by those outside the university, which is consistently ranked among the leading universities by organizations such as Geteducated.com, The Princeton Review, U.S. News and World Report, The Military Times news organization, Best For Vets, Forbes Magazine and others. The University has also been recognized by “The Chronicle of Higher Education” as a “2013 Great College to Work For” in testament to the institution’s commitment in balancing work and life.

– Balancing Work and Family while Continuing Education – with Troy University
It’s never too late – for people who wish they could go back to school to study that subject that has always interested them – now may be the time. Troy University graduate and professor Dr. Kelli Cleveland joins host Olga Villaverde on set to discuss how adults can balance work and family while pursuing a college education. It doesn’t matter if one is going to college for the first time… or returning to school, Troy University has a program that fits each individual need, on campus and online. Dr. Cleveland shares with viewers how Troy’s online learning options helped make the process of continuing her education easier.

“I really enjoyed being able to represent Troy on a national platform. Working fulltime and having kids, there was really no way that I could go to class, so the online delivery system made going back to school possible, and the faculty members really understand the needs of adults learners,” said Cleveland.
