The average U.S. household spends about $600 a year on personal care products, many of which we never use up, are made from petroleum, and are potential carcinogens or hormone disrupters that impact wildlife. So make an effort to buy products that contain natural, planet-friendly ingredients, smell great, and aren’t tested on animals. They don’t cost any more than the chemical-filled varieties.
