Sam’s Club is 'Stirring Up' Some Great Cooking Ideas!

Don’t just stand there with your mouth full! If you’re looking for a way to save some money, and eat while you’re doing it-- you’ll want to check out Sam’s Club on The Balancing Act! They’re going to share their ideas on how to help parents budget and plan their family meals—while socializing with their friends!
It’s called The Cooking Club!

Sam’s Cooking Clubs help members take advantage of the lower prices of bulk size food by sharing purchases with friends and family, eliminating waste, and allowing a wider variety of purchases.
Here’s how Sam’s Cooking Club works:
1. First, find a couple of friends, colleagues, neighbors or other busy parents for Cooking Club partners. Then pitch in 100-dollars each. For just 300-dollars you’ll make seven dinners (main dishes and sides), each of which feeds three families of four. That breaks down to an approximate per serving cost of $3.50!
2. Then select a day and a 4-hour time period to prepare a week’s worth of homemade family dinners. You may wish to rotate hosting responsibilities—which include collecting the money, doing the shopping and providing the kitchen—each week.
3. Shopping and Preparing. Your Sam’s Club shopping list will be based on the recipes you choose.
4. Equipment. You don’t need a gourmet kitchen with chef-level equipment to cook club-style. But always read recipes before beginning to cook to determine what is needed—and plan on having more than one of some items.
5. Cooking. Cooking as a club is a team effort.
6. Packing and Storing. When portioning out recipes into re-sealable heavy-duty plastic bags or plastic storage containers with lids, leave a little space, as liquids expand as they freeze.
