People to People Ambassador Programs Raise Student "CQ" on "The Balancing Act" on Lifetime TV

Program Helps Change Lives through International Travel; Raises Student's "Cultural Quotient"

(Pompano Beach, FL - September 12, 2012) Travelling abroad can open up a world of possibilities for students. Make sure to tune in to "The Balancing Act" on Lifetime TV on Tuesday, September 18th at 7:00 a.m. (ET/PT) as Peg Thomas from People to People Ambassadors Program and Dan Domenech, Executive Director of School Administrators
talk about a new way to think about being smart.

The segment will air as part of the "My Travel / Parent Teacher Corner" mini-series.

Most people have heard of an "IQ" score as well as an "EQ" score (emotional intelligence). There's a new metric in the educational and corporate world that's becoming better known - it's called the "CQ", or cultural quotient." Along with major corporations, People to People Ambassador Programs is the only educational company that has adopted this metric to access how students can be successful in our globalized world.

People to People Student Ambassador Programs provide international educational travel to seven continents for students from 5th through 12th grades within a teacher-led safe group environment, where students can get behind-the-scenes and immerse themselves in cultures around the world.

During the upcoming segment, Thomas and Domenech tout the benefits of the People to People Ambassador Program from how students become more responsible to how they can raise their cultural quotient by studying beforehand, delving into and participating in a culture's customs - like a Japanese tea ceremony - rather than approaching other cultures like a tourist.
