Megan Westgate, Executive Director of the Non-GMO Project, joins us in the kitchen, to tell us all about GMOs—genetically modified organisms, which can be found in as much as 80-percent of our food. But how safe are they? Many of the foods that are most popular with children contain GMOs. Cereals, snack bars, snack boxes, cookies, processed lunch meats, and crackers all contain large amounts of high risk food ingredients. Many processed foods in general, contain GMOs. Megan will tell us the best way to know if your food has been genetically modified and what you can do to have healthier foods on your table.
