In the last 50 years there has been an alarming decline in the nutrient content in American food. It has been estimated that you would need to eat fifty peaches today to get the vitamin A of one peach from 1950. More than two independent studies have shown the antioxidant content of American food has declined 50% measured in 2005 versus in 1980. These studies, along with dozens of others, mandate the importance of assuring comprehensive nutrition which could only be accomplished using supplementation.

As a society, we are mostly eating cooked food when we were engineered to consume raw food. Eating cooked food triggers a loss of many methyl (a single carbon and three hydrogen molecule) groups per cell per day. Eating raw food can help you lose about 30% less methyl groups per cell per day. This daily demethylation process is one of the major ways in which we age.
