Adriana Martin is back as our Mission Makeover Fitness Trainer for Season 2. With
her Latina flair and her silly personality, making her a part of the fitness team
was not even a question.
Her background includes personal trainer and group exercise instructor, specializing in
pre and post natal, reformer and studio pilates, kickboxing, spinning, zumba and gravity.
Her favorite workouts include, weight lifting, dancing, cycling and pilates. Her list of
accomplishments doesn't end there. She is a social media extraordinaire and is always
willing to share tips and tricks.
Training Plan
Monday, Wednesday and Friday Our circuits consist of:
- Mondays:
- Lower Body Circuit
- Wednesday:
- Core Circuit
- Friday:
- Upper Body Circuit
- Plyos
- high intensity/impact
- Compound moves
- multiple muscle groups
- Isolation
- single muscles
- Isometric
- keeping muscle under tension/contraction without movement
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday: Cardio specific training:
- Blanca: uses cardio machines at U fit or power walks
- Alex: muai thai/boxing and dance aerobics

- 12. When taking the kids to the park run around with them! This will Increase your heart rate then you can check cardio off your list!
- 11. Always take care of your body, it's the only place you have to live.
- 10. When showing up to a workout... Remember to always have your iPod fully loaded with energetic songs!
- 9. Feeling Stressed and Overwhelmed? Take a Yoga Class that is not about Strength and All about Relaxation.
- 8. You are not what you eat! You ARE what your body can Digest!
- 7. It's not all about exercising when trying to lose weight, what you eat is 80% of the equation.
- 6. Eating out? Split your dish and take the other half home!
- 5. Myth: to lose weight I should only do Cardio... Fact: To lose weight, you must do cardio, resistance training and eat clean!
- 4. Don't train a sore muscle! Workout around it and let it recover! You'll build a killer body if you follow this principle!
- 3. Life is a Marathon NOT a Sprint! You have to Train for it!
- 2. Wake up and acknowledge that what you need is already within You!
- 1. In fitness like in life you must Celebrate every victory... No matter how small it may seem!
