Besides raising her family, this 46 year old mom of two has another burning passion...she loves to sing! As a matter of fact, she does it for a living. A self employed vocal coach, Deborah also sings at gigs like weddings and parties. But it hasn't always been a time for celebration. She's lost jobs because of her weight.
For Hillary, single and 30, living near the ocean and working in the hip and toney area of South Beach - life must be a breeze, right? But all that glitters is not gold for Hillary in this Gold Coast town where she is constantly surrounded by a stream of "beautiful people" who frequent the cafe where she works. She can't help but compare herself to them and feel intimidated-creating even more insecurities about her extra weight and how she looks.
At 26 years old, Victoria is the youngest of the team, but that doesn't mean she hasn't packed her life with a lot of experiences so far. As a teenager she tried out for American Idol. In early 2013 she made the cross country trek - all by herself -- from South Dakota to Florida and landed a job as an Admissions Advisor. Her weight crept up through as she succumbed to emotional eating and the constant food at family functions.
Together since they were 18 years old, Sasha, a 36 year old CEO of her household and her husband have been through a lot and shared a lot of things - except for when he secretly submitted the application for her to be a part of Mission Makeover!
Tati is our bride-to-be, proposed to by her fiance while they were in Paris. Although born in Venezuela, this 27 year old graphic designer grew up in Miami and considers herself a Miami girl at heart, complete with the "Miami attitude". Right now Tati is the heaviest she's ever been, and claims to gain weight when she's happy, calling them "happy pounds".
Talk about a mad schedule! Karen, single and 41, has worked long and demanding hours for years in the entertainment industry, including taking charge of the camera as an Assistant Director for the TV show "Mad Men". She's recently left a grueling production schedule and switched to commercials so she can set her schedule, focus on herself and take charge of change her own life.
