The Balancing Act

Anytime Noodlishious Dishes

From brunch to a midnight snack, Ramen noodles are the start of an easy to make dish

We’ve all heard of and probably eaten Ramen Noodles at some point in our lives. But ever popular noodle isn’t just for lunch or even dinner… there’s so much more you can do with them, for a snack or meal any time during the day!

A mainstay in Asia for centuries, ramen noodles are the start to creating dishes that are limited only by the imagination and a few extra ingredients.

How about making a dish for brunch that’s new and easy?

Here’s how:

  1. Pick out your favorite Ramen Noodle Bowl flavor and microwave right in the package for 3 minutes
  2. While bowls are in the microwave, whip up 2 eggs per person and a couple strips of bacon
  3. Pour noodles in bowls and top with eggs, bacon and herbs
  4. Set the mood with mimosas

Enjoy this twist on egg drop soup!

Here’s another anytime idea when you’re hungry…..delicious macaroni salad for camping or a picnic!

  1. Make 2 bowls or more of noodles
  2. Pour into portable container
  3. Add snap peas, celery, diced pepper and a few grape or cherry tomatoes with mayo or your favorite dressing

If you like to eat it hot, place in thermal container, or refrigerate for a cold snack!

For a midnight snack, toss in bits of leftover turkey on top of your ramen noodles and enjoy! All for a good night’s sleep!

Make sure to tune in to The Balancing Act on Thursday, August 28 and Sept. 4th, 2014 on the Lifetime Channel to see how easy these recipes are to make when hunger strikes any time of the day.
