My friends over at The Balancing Act on Lifetime Television recently sent me an Auntie Anne’s At-Home Baking Kit to review. Little did they know just how much my kids love Auntie Anne’s pretzels. It’s their #1 request when we are at Westfield Old Orchard in Skokie.

My boys love fresh warm soft pretzels. They also love art projects. So they were pretty excited when they heard they could combine two of their favorite things with this baking kit.

Sometimes I’m guilty of failing my body. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in day to day live and get so focused on my dream that I begin to ignore my body.  And sometimes I get hit with a sense of reality that shakes me to my core and reminds me that I must make my physical health a priority.

Last week I was shaken to my core when I received news from my mom that the daughter-in-law of one of her close friends died of heart disease at the very young age of 45. Although heart disease is the number one killer of women, it’s still shocking for me to hear that a 45 year old mother of 3 can have heart failure.
