Just Another Dog Schnarticle

Friday, September 24th, 2010

That is a really cute dog!” I said to a woman as she got out of her car with an armful of fluff. She put the fluff down on the ground, it turned into a dog, and did a little happy dance.

“What kind is he?” I asked.

“He’s a Schnoodle.” (more…)

Quiet on the Set

I love taking this time of year when Summer switches to Autumn to enjoy as much time as I can with my family, before the holiday chaos sets in and everything becomes a race. I am really excited for all the things I have to share with you for this week and all the family fun opportunities it can create, so enjoy! And I am really psyched about heading East next week to tape a special segment on the importance of spending quality family time together for The Balancing Act. More on that later…. As they say out here in Hollywood, “lights, camera, action!” (more…)

10 Easy Ways To Go Green Every Day!

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

My goal is to get more people to think about their personal impact on the planet each day – take a better look at all the garbage you throw away, the products you buy and use, the energy and water you consume and then multiply it by the billions of people on this planet! Female Rivalry: Our Dirty Little Secret

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

I am and always have been a “girl’s girl.” Not a sneak peek into my dating life (that’s a whole other conversation), what I mean is I’ve never been one of those women who says “I get along better with men.”

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

As an entrepreneur, wife and mom of three, I need plenty of energy to get me through the day. The best way I know to get a big surge of energy is to start my day with a great workout. The time I spend working out sets the tone for my entire day. It boosts my productivity. It keeps me upbeat and fresh. And it lifts my mood (which means I’m much more pleasant to be around!). When Your Balancing Act Includes a Special Needs Child

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

I always thought I had a lot to juggle with work and family and volunteering in the community. But last week, I realized how difficult the balancing act can get when you have a child with a special health concern. Having a child with a disability or chronic illness requires additional time and effort to find and manage treatment, attend doctors appointments or therapies, handle conflicts at day care or school and seek the right education choices. It easily can create financial problems, marital discord, sibling issues and problems at work. (more…)

“Sugar ‘N Spice & Everything Nice”: Opinionated MAMA’s Perspective on TAYLOR SWIFT

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

Yes, I did it.  I took my 10 year old to the Taylor Swift concert.  My daughter “love, love, loves” Taylor.  I figured, I knew the words to most of the songs, so why not embrace Taylor Swift as my first official teenie bopper concert experience as a MOM?!  My girlfriend got the tickets and off we went, two excited 10 year old girls, homemade “Taylor Swift Rocks” t-shirts and sparkly posters in hand.
