Quiet on the Set

August 27th, 2010

This week has been crazy and quite the experience, traveling across five states  with my daughter looking at prospective colleges.   Thankfully technology makes sure I can stay in touch with all of you during this  one of a kind trip.  As a matter of fact, right not I am in the JFK library in Boston, Mass, making some final edits… I’ll  share some of my adventures with you once I return. I really can’t wait to get back to the milder Southern California weather.  I’m not sure how much longer I can handle the heat and humidity on the East Coast.  In the mean time we have some great picks to share this week. So gather your family, grab the popcorn, and enjoy! As they say out here in Hollywood, “lights, camera, action!”

My appreciation for horses started many years ago, and kids seem to always love these amazing animals. This movie is one that will touch your heart and have your whole family entertained. You’ll the two child starts absolutely adorable. Enjoy!

Last week I suggested a girls night out, and this week I am happy to suggest a sequel to the wonderful Nanny Mcphee series. Imagination and adventure play a big role in this movie about kids living on a farm and a nanny they at first turn away, only to realize she may be exactly what they need. You never know, pigs may fly…

Worth Noting: While this is a light fun movie in many ways, please be aware that it has not been approved by the National Board of Mothers due to its somewhat offensive humor and some questionable language. Don’t forget that the first Nanny McPhee was somewhat scary for younger children. So moms, please use your best discretion.

Nanny McPhee Returns

Along with her own two children, the frazzled mother is responsible for a couple of cousins who do not get on well with each other.
