This week I was invited to a Mother’s Day Breakfast at my daughters’ school. It’s a yearly event in which mothers join their kids in their classrooms and are reminded why being a mom is so special.

My daughters both sang to me, drew pictures of why they love me, made special bracelets and even served me breakfast.

My younger daughter also gave me the most beautiful red rose I have ever seen.  As I held this rose and looked into my daughter’s eyes, I was reminded once again of how beautiful life is.

My grandmother once told me in spanish; “la vida no te da felicidad, la vida te da momentos felices.” In other words, “life will not bring you happiness, it will bring you  happy moments to remember.”  Being with my girls that morning in school was a MOMENT for me.
